Kent Campaign: Heidi Ducks Debate, Hides Behind Lies… Again

Today, Joe Kent’s campaign manager Ozzie Gonzalez made the following statement:

On yesterday’s Lars Larson show, Heidi St. John turned down a chance to debate Joe Kent on Lars’ program with the bizarre excuse that she’d only debate in person and not over the phone, a requirement of Lars’ Portland-based radio station.

But in early February, she refused the Skamania GOP’s offer of an in-person debate, in her words, “if Joe Kent showed up.”

She said back in November that’s she’d debate in January, and that has also turned out to be a lie.

She demonstrates again and again that she’s not a serious candidate. She broke her promise to drop out of the election if Trump endorsed someone else and blamed that on “not being fully informed.”

She’s far behind in all three independent polls of the race and while Joe’s on the road holding public events in every county in the district, she hides behind attack ads and lies.

It’s becoming apparent to even her most dedicated supporters that she’s not a serious candidate and that it’s time to consolidate behind the conservative who can retire Jaime Herrera Beutler, Joe Kent.
